Burbage South is a cracking boulding place, and is a current local favorite of Ryan's, although a bit of a trek for those of us living north of the M62.  It was Chris' day off but no one else could spare the time off, so he went on his own during the day for an explore

After finishing work a little earlier than usual, Ryan, Robin, Matt and myself all managed to get to the area around 5.30 (Ryan & Robin were a little late due to Robin's curse striking again.  At low speed, someone drove into the back of Ryan's car mid-journey, clearly Robin's fault ;-p ).

After walking in we were touching rock ~6pm.

Ryan showed us round a circuit of boulders.  They're mostly sloping in nature and a quite technical. I struggled to get into a rhythm only managing the lower-grade easy stuff

Ryan excelled and managed to climb "Useful Crack (f6a+)" which he'd been trying for a few sessions.  He didn't show much emotion once completed, and has hardly mentioned the problem since! cough cough!

Ryan clearly highlighting the route was a 1-star route, nothing else ;)

We finished with a traverse challenge Walking the Dog (f4+) which was quite fun

Clearly the evening group were all concentrating too much to take any pictures! :)
