Trad Dad's had another full day at work but a return to Pule Hill was planned to attempt some harder routes than previously attempted.
The Sentinal block was chosen first and the climb was 'No Traverse VS 4c'.
The struggles started .... Ryan's turn to lead .....
Ryan got so far, got pumped and returned to the ground.
Robin tried .... and failed .... Stuart tried and managed to lead, then we all followed.
Chris had arrived by this time so we split into 2 pairs.
Stuart and Chris did 'Annual Route - HS 4b'
Ryan and Robin headed for Leprosy Wall.
Robin led 'Venus - VS 4c', but needed rests along the way, Ryan followed up in a similar manner .... a very sustained climb !
We then retreated from the winds into the quarry, Chris led 'Skull Climb -VD', Stuart seconded.
Ryan attempted to lead 'The Iliad - VS 5a' until a loose flake stopped progress, the climb was abandoned at that point as the flake was needed to gain the next break. The climb notes were updated on UKC as a warning to others.
As it was after 9:30pm, a pint in the Riverhead beckoned, so we headed back to Marsden for refreshments.
