Robin, Ryan and I braved the shooting range and went climbing at Shooters Nab nr Marsden

Robin led Riflemans Chimney (HS 4b), with Ryan arriving as he topped out

I seconded and then Ryan followed

Then I led The Light (VS 4c). I accidentally pulled up on a cam on my first big move so came back down to attempt a ground-up tick. It was a good fight with my main concern being the lack of big cams for the top section.  I needed a few more big blue or bigger sized cams. My solution was to just bump up the only blue I had as I got higher. A great feeling to top out on this

Robin then seconded...

Robin just topped out as it started to lightly drizzle. But where theres rain, theres always a rainbow

Ryan was trying to call it a day due to the rain, but he didnt take too much convincing to give it a go. Thankfully the rain stopped so it didnt ruin the climb. The opening high-leg move proved too much despite many valient attempts. He found an alternative start to the right followed by left traverse to get back on line and pretty much only missed the opening move

Shooters Nab is a cool place, but its clear it doesnt get the traffic it perhaps used to. Many of the routes had vegitation growth and we needed to do some gardening on both routes and the walk in is considerable given we could not park at the shooting lodge as previous generations have been able to do

So glad we went, probably wont be back any time soon
